Description
This late medieval dress is made from indigo colored (chemically dyed) wool. The dress has shoulder seams, one-piece sleeves and side and back gores. In the front it has a decorative lacing in interlaced herringbone stitch made from golden embroidery yarn.
The sleeves are close fitting on the lower arm and closed with a row of metal buttons. The buttonholes are handsewn. Medieval sleeves have their seam on the back of the arm. This cut together with a deeper armhole on the back creates a light puff sleeve effect.
The front neckline is v-shaped. Like this you can display an elegant underdress or jewellry there.
All visible seams are done by hand. The invisible seams are machine sewn. On request all seams can be done by hand or machine.
