Description
This dress made from blue-green wool (plant-dyed) is based on late medieval depictions, for example in Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry. This type of dress wit removable sleeves was worn from about 1400 to 1500. The sleeves could be removed during work, to protect them from dirt and damage. Or you could use your dress as an evening or sunday dress with sleeves made of more higher quality fabrics.
The sleeves are attached with the help of handsewn eyelets and a lace. Additionally in the front skirt part there are pocket slits. Originally they were meant to give access to a belt with items underneath the dress. But for our modern preferences there are pocket bags added.
The summer dress is made from plant-dyed, light wool in twill weave. Together with a linen underdress it makes for excellent comfort, even during hot days.
The visible seams are done by hand with blue wool. The invisible seams are machine sewn.
On request all seams can be done by hand or machine.

Please always choose your unchanged clothing size (e.g. for corsets your normal waist circumference, not the reduced circumference).
For Italian sizes add +6 and for French sizes add +2 to the EU sizes.
