Description
This gown is an interpretation of a late Victorian dress. Dresses of this kind were worn between 1890 and 1895. The most obvious characteristic is its leg-of-mutton sleeve. The comparably low neckline marks this dress as a ball gown. During the day you would usually wear a high-necked bodice in that era. The skirt gains additional volume thanks to several inserted gores.
The dark green, shimmering velvet gives the gown a luxurious note. The sleeves are bound with a bright golden, woven trimming.
This velvet dress would also work for fantastical and medieval potrayals.
